Bryan Gortikov

Bryan graduated with a B. S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Bryan began his career in New York after being selectively recruited to join the Structured Credit group at JP Morgan Chase, where he was responsible for the pricing of tranches of bespoke, structured credit default swap-backed collateralized debt obligations (CDOs) using proprietary correlation and DCF-based models. Among his other responsibilities, he also worked closely with the sales and trading staff to develop opportunistic trade ideas for hedge fund and other institutional clients.

Bryan developed an interest in commercial real estate early in his career through his work with Gortikov Enterprises, Inc., a Los Angeles-based retail developer, where he was responsible for the financial modeling and analysis of potential acquisition opportunities as well as the preparation of investment analyses for prospective investors. Bryan maintains this role in addition to assisting in the co-management of GEI's holdings.

After a brief time working as an entrepreneur at a tech startup company based in Boston, MA, Bryan returned to Los Angeles to join George Elkins Mortgage Banking to support its mortgage underwriting and marketing operation under its CEO, Jeff Hudson. In his time at GEMB, Bryan has further developed his proficiency with a deal structuring and analysis while also developing a vast collection of investor, developer and lender contacts, both institutional and private.

Bryan specializes in financial modeling, quantitative analysis, deal structuring and software development.
