By Cartmell has been involved in the commercial lending business in California since 1977. He has successfully placed in excess of $2 billion of real estate loans with the company’s life insurance company correspondent lenders, private lenders, conduit lenders, banks, and other commercial lending institutions.

By Cartmell joined the Elkins team of Loan Officers in 1992 and became a partner of the company in 2000. He graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in economics from Rutgers College and earned a Master Degree in Finance from UCLA in 1983.
